Lawn Fertilization
Your lawn needs the proper blend of nutrients to grow green, lush, and thick all season long. Our fertilizer program includes balanced, non-burning lawn fertilization and liquid weed control. We guarantee the results you want—a beautiful, lush lawn that is the envy of the neighborhood.
What Is an NPK Ratio?
When choosing a fertilizer, you’ll see a combination of three numbers on the label. This is the fertilizer’s NPK ratio, which tells you what percentage of each key nutrient is present in that formula. The first number represents the percentage of nitrogen (N), the second number represents the percentage of phosphorus (P), and the last number represents the percentage of potassium (K) in the fertilizer. At Grow, we use an environmentally friendly, non-phosphorus fertilizer to protect nearby rivers, lakes, and streams.
Finding the Perfect Blend of Nutrients
Grow has the expertise to ensure your lawn gets the right fertilizer at the right time. Your lawn must receive the nutrients it needs during the growing season to thrive and grow into a lawn with thick, green grass. A soil test typically helps us determine the needs of your lawn and select the right fertilizer. Selecting the right grade of fertilizer with the right NPK ratio is crucial to making sure your lawn receives the needed nutrients.

It can be complicated to maintain just the right balance of nutrients for a lush and healthy lawn. Grub Prevention
Grubs damage a lawn by devouring its root system. At Grow, we apply Merit grub control once per year during June, July, and early August. Merit grub control is extremely effective, attacking the summertime eggs that hatch into lawn-destroying grubs. In fact, it works so well that we include a 100% guarantee.
What are Grubs?
Grubs are the larvae of beetles and can cause significant damage by feeding on grass roots. This leads to brown patches that can be easily pulled up like a loose carpet. Grubs also draw predators to a lawn, such as skunks, raccoons, birds, and moles.
Early Intervention is Key
A thriving lawn is a testament to your commitment to a beautiful home. However, lawn-damaging insects can quickly undo your hard work. By following preventative measures and knowing when and how to treat pests, you can enjoy a healthy, vibrant lawn year-round. Contact Grow to help protect your green haven from those unwanted intruders.

Prevention Tips for Lawn Insect Control
Maintain Healthy Soil: Healthy soil with proper pH levels and adequate nutrients creates a robust lawn that is less susceptible to insect damage.
Mow Regularly: Keep your grass at the recommended height for its species. Taller grass is often more resilient to pests.
Water: Water deeply and infrequently to encourage deep root growth. Shallow roots are more vulnerable to insect damage.
Avoid Over-Fertilizing: Excessive fertilizer can attract certain pests. Follow recommended fertilization schedules.
Aerate: Regularly aerate your lawn to improve soil structure and reduce thatch, which can harbor pests.
